ComReal’s Leadership Excels with SIOR Designation

Two of ComReal International’s top South Florida leaders are members of the most prestigious global professional office and industrial real estate association, the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR). Both Steve Smith, Founder & CEO of ComReal International, and Edward Redlich, Managing Member of ComReal Miami-Doral, have been long-standing members of this group of the world’s premier commercial real estate professionals. This puts them at the top of the list of the most knowledgeable and experienced commercial real estate brokerage specialists worldwide.

The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) is an organization now over 75 years in existence that is a professional affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. SIOR’s membership is comprised of over 3,400 members in 686 cities across 38 countries who are top producers in industrial and office real estate. Those who have earned the SIOR designation have earned one of the highest professional achievements in the industry and have proven to be the most qualified and successful professionals with a strong transactional history in brokerage.

Clients of ComReal International have the benefit of knowing they are working with the best in the industry. The information and education that SIORs have is often passed along to clients, which is helpful in assisting in the decision-making process when it comes to leasing, purchasing, or selling industrial or office real estate. Additionally, the property listings of SIORs are marketed to over 3,000 professional members worldwide, giving exclusive opportunities to other SIORs around the world for off-the-market deals, providing access and opportunities to clients that is unmatched by other professionals.

“We are in the information business,” says Steve Smith, SIOR and Past President of the Florida Chapter of SIOR, which now has over 200 members. “One of my early mentors was CVW (Dick) Trice, one of the early organizers and a national president of SIOR.  Ed and I are always looking for next-generation leaders who will carry on ComReal’s relationship in this great organization”.

Ed Redlich, also Past President of the Florida Chapter of SIOR, credits the organization with helping him close a higher volume of deals along with larger transactions across the board.

“SIOR is the best organization overall for deal-making. This is due to the relationships, networking, and education. Our local, independent commercial real estate office now has access to over 3,000 SIOR members worldwide so we can better compete with any of the largest national firms. We like that SIOR only allows members who pass the ethical, educational, and deal volume limits. On a personal note, there is a comradery within SIOR that gives what we do more meaning and makes the profession a much more enjoyable experience.”

As an independent commercial real estate firm, ComReal offices are locally and independently owned, which gives members like Steve, Ed, and their contemporaries the advantage of working within the SIOR network as cooperative CRE brokers within the industry at large.  Clients working with ComReal on deals should know that the relationship between ComReal and other SIORs around the globe is a win-win, with ComReal’s team giving and receiving referrals within the SIOR network for the benefit of all involved.

The entrepreneurial spirit woven into our Florida companies gives us the ability to turn on a dime and react to all opportunities and challenges that come at us daily,” says Ed Redlich. “Many larger companies are contracting in reaction to new global problems, while ComReal is expanding! It is great to get up in the morning and know that we can quickly implement creative solutions,” says Steve Smith.
